The Blowhole has received this notice from a new wholefood workers’ co-op being set up in Southampton asking for help – read on for information on how to help Rice Up get started!

fresh, local, ethical groceries and wholefoods

Do you want to help save the planet and find meaningful work? If so, why not join
Rice Up Wholefoods Ltd. and help us set up and run our shop! Work can be
full or part time, and flexible to suit your other commitments. Work will
be voluntary whilst we set up the shop. After the shop opens (probably
early March), work will be paid at minimum wage as far as possible, but
some unpaid work will be necessary, at least initially.

You will need to
have a co-operative approach to work, be passionate about veganism, be
committed to ethical trading, and be friendly and approachable. Desirable
skills include IT, marketing, graphic design and vegan cooking. However,
the most important things are your principles and your approach to life.
